New Releases – November & December 2018

How many new babies/books will be joining your TBR pile soon?

As always towards the end of the year there are fewer book releases, so I wasn’t sure I should write this article. But there are three books I am very excited about coming out in November and December 2018, and I needed to talk about these releases.

archenemies (renegades #2) par marissa meyerTitle: Archenemies (Renegades #2)

Author: Marissa Meyer

Publisher: Feiwel & Friends

Release Date: November 6th, 2018

Synopsis: Time is running out.
Together, they can save the world.
But they each other’s worst nightmare.

In Renegades, Nova and Adrian (aka Insomnia and Sketch) fought the battle of their lives against the Anarchist known as the Detonator. It was a short-lived victory.

The Anarchists still have a secret weapon, one that Nova believes will protect her. The Renegades also have a strategy for overpowering the Anarchists, but both Nova and Adrian understand that it could mean the end of Gatlon City – and the world – as they know it.

I’ve been waiting for this book with the excitement of a kid on Christmas Eve… I adored the first book in this epic trilogy and can’t wait to dive back into this world.

keeper of the lost cities tome 7Title: Flashback (Keeper of the Lost Cities #7)

Author: Shannon Messenger

Publisher:  Aladdin

Release Date: November 6th, 2018

Synopsis: Sophie Foster doesn’t know what—or whom—to believe. And in a game with this many players, the worst mistake can be focusing on the wrong threat.

But when the Neverseen prove that Sophie’s far more vulnerable than she ever imagined, she realizes it’s time to change the rules. Her powerful abilities can only protect her so far. To face down ruthless enemies, she must learn to fight.

Unfortunately, battle training can’t help a beloved friend who’s facing a whole different danger—where the only solution involves one of the biggest risks Sophie and her friends have ever taken. And the distraction might be exactly what the villains have been waiting for.

I was hoping to finish my marathon of the series in time for the release of this seventh book… But alas, the gods of reading decided otherwise (or was it because of Netflix?). Nonetheless, I am very hyped for this new release and I’ll get to it soon enough.

Title: Queen of Air and Darkness (The Dark Artificies #3)

Author: Cassandra Clare

Publisher: Margaret K. McElderry Books

Release Date: December 4th 2018

Synopsis: What if damnation is the price of true love?

Innocent blood has been spilled on the steps of the Council Hall, the sacred stronghold of the Shadowhunters. In the wake of the tragic death of Livia Blackthorn, the Clave teeters on the brink of civil war. One fragment of the Blackthorn family flees to Los Angeles, seeking to discover the source of the blight that is destroying the race of warlocks.

Meanwhile, Julian and Emma take desperate measures to put their forbidden love aside and undertake a perilous mission to Faerie to retrieve the Black Volume of the Dead. What they find in the Courts is a secret that may tear the Shadow World asunder and open a dark path into a future they could never have imagined. Caught in a race against time, Emma and Julian must save the world of Shadowhunters before the deadly power of the parabatai curse destroys them and everyone they love.

A year and a half. 18 months. 547 days (roughly). That’s how long I’ve been waiting for this book to come out. I cannot wait to read it even though it terrifies me a bit (a lot). I only hope Queen Cassie doesn’t break my heart.
