Title: The Ship of The Dead (Magnus Chase and The Gods of Asgard #3)

Author: Rick Riordan

Publisher: Disney Hyperion

Release date: 03/10/2017

Synopsis: Magnus Chase, a once-homeless teen, is a resident of the Hotel Valhalla and one of Odin’s chosen warriors. As the son of Frey, the god of summer, fertility, and health, Magnus isn’t naturally inclined to fighting. But he has strong and steadfast friends, including Hearthstone the elf, Blitzen the dwarf, and Samirah the Valkyrie, and together they have achieved brave deeds, such as defeating Fenris Wolf and battling giants for Thor’s hammer, Mjolnir. Now Magnus and his crew must sail to the farthest borders of Jotunheim and Niflheim in pursuit of Asgard’s greatest threat. Will they succeed in their perilous journey, or is Ragnarok lurking on the horizon?

Thoughts: I am SO excited about finally reading this book. And yet, I really don’t want to say goodbye to Magnus. Out of all Riordan’s books, this series is my favourite and The Hammer of Thor was such a great book. I promise I’ll talk to you about this book real soon 😉.

Title: Without Merit

Author: Collen Hoover

Publisher: Atria Books

Release date: 03/10/2017

Synopsis: Not every mistake deserves a consequence. Sometimes the only thing it deserves is forgiveness.
The Voss family is anything but normal. They live in a repurposed church, newly baptized Dollar Voss. The once cancer-stricken mother lives in the basement, the father is married to the mother’s former nurse, the little half-brother isn’t allowed to do or eat anything fun, and the eldest siblings are irritatingly perfect. Then, there’s Merit.
Merit Voss collects trophies she hasn’t earned and secrets her family forces her to keep. While browsing the local antiques shop for her next trophy, she finds Sagan. His wit and unapologetic idealism disarm and spark renewed life into her—until she discovers that he’s completely unavailable. Merit retreats deeper into herself, watching her family from the sidelines, when she learns a secret that no trophy in the world can fix.
Fed up with the lies, Merit decides to shatter the happy family illusion that she’s never been a part of before leaving them behind for good. When her escape plan fails, Merit is forced to deal with the staggering consequences of telling the truth and losing the one boy she loves.

Thoughts: After reading Maybe Someday a couple of weeks ago, I feel like reading every Colleen Hoover books EVER. I’ve been waiting for that new novel for so long and it seems so different from her other books, I’m so excited to read it.

But Call has no idea.
It is only when he’s broken out of prison that the full potential of Constantine’s plan is suddenly in his hands . . . and he must decide what to do with his power.
In this spellbinding fourth book of Magisterium, bestselling authors Holly Black and Cassandra Clare take us beyond the realm of the living and into the dangers of the dead.

Thoughts: I love Cassandra Clare, I love middle-grade books and I love fantasy. So obviously, this series is perfect for me. And yet I haven’t read it yet 🙃. As they say, So many books, so little time. Hopefully, I’ll read this series real soon and we’ll talk about it.

Ok, so tell me everything… Which books will join your TBR pile in October?

Enjoy your reads,
